Ofude

Ōfude (大筆, おおふで, lit. “large brush”)

Large sized brush. Oofude is scaled between brush sizes 4 and 1 (on a 10 levels scale of brush sizes). Ōfude tuft ranges from 9 to 13mm in thickness, measured at the brush’s “loins” (腰, こし, koshi).
