IrogamiIrogami (色紙, いろがみ)Literally, “coloured paper”. It has the following varieties: *For studying shakyō (写経, しゃきょう), i.e. copying Buddhist sutras. *Paper used for origami (折り紙, おりがみ), the Japanese art of folding paper. *For general use (colour printing, etc.) Irogami is not to be confused with shikishi (色紙, しきし, i.e. “a rectangle shaped calligraphy paper (white, or with a design) glued on a cardboard”).
